Are you a woman who finds it hard to use your voice due to never feeling truly heard or valued at times throughout your life? If you've ever experienced the pain of being invalidated, ignored, ridiculed, or made to feel like you don't matter, you're not alone. It's common to find yourself caught in a cycle of rumination and 'stuck-ness,' or to feel a profound sense of disconnection from your world, your relationships, and even yourself.
But there is hope.
My 6-week program is designed for women like you who are ready to break free from the chains that have had you bound in silence. Together, we'll embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment, where you'll learn to reclaim and share your voice, honour your experiences, and cultivate deep connections—with yourself and others.
Through guided exercises and supportive discussions, Story Weavers will offer you a unique and empowering experience focused on storytelling as a means of healing, growth, and connection. You'll gain valuable insights and practical tools to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. By the end of the program, you'll emerge with a renewed sense of self-worth, a deeper understanding of your needs and desires, and a newfound sense of belonging in the world.
It's time to step into your power and embrace the truth of your worthiness. Don't let the past define your future—join me on this journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery.

As a therapist, I am deeply privileged to bear witness to the rich and diverse stories of women like you. Your narratives encompass the full spectrum of human experience, from moments of trauma, tragedy, and heartbreak, to tales of love, triumph, and growth.
Your story matters. It holds significance and deserves to be heard, witnessed, and honoured.
Through my years of experience in this work, I've come to understand the profound impact of simply providing a safe space for women such as yourself, to share your experiences and explore your emotions. In this nurturing environment, subtle yet profound shifts begin to unfold. Your world starts to re-align and expand as you courageously delve into and explore your own narrative.
As you bravely share and process your past experiences, a newfound self-awareness and self-compassion will begin to emerge and ripple outwards, transforming the way you show up for yourself and your relationships.
As you participate in the story telling process, the weight of old stories will begin to lift, making space for new narratives to emerge. You'll find yourself better equipped to navigate life's challenges and embrace the full spectrum of human experience.
In essence, our therapeutic journey together in the group environment is about more than just addressing past wounds—it's about creating space for growth, resilience, and the endless possibilities of new beginnings.
Story Weavers offers you a weekly opportunity to delve into and share aspects of your personal history. You have the autonomy to choose which experiences you feel comfortable sharing with the group.
Each week you'll be invited to reflect on a question provided by me. Following this, I'll guide the group through a meditation or visualisation exercise, allowing you to tap into memories or thoughts from that particular period of your life.
You will have 5-10 minutes to share your story in response to the question. Group members will then have the chance to ask one question or offer one reflection, providing a supportive environment for further exploration of your experience. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to share anything else that may have emerged for you throughout the process.
After each person has shared, we'll engage in a grounding activity, breathing exercise, or another visualisation, depending on what is needed. While the group will also include gentle movement, warm-up activities and pair work, our aim is to maintain a simple structure that allows us to delve deeply into each individual's life journey.
I will be allowing 3 hours for each session. We may not need all of that time, but I do not want this to be a rushed process. I have participated in many groups where it has felt like I would have received a little more from it, had more time been allocated. I want to give you time to share and feel and connect in a way that feels profound and meaningful.
This group will only achieve its purpose if we are able to co-create an environment of consistency, trust and relationship building. Therefore it is crucial that you prioritise attending this group at the same time, on the same day for the 6 week period.
There are no refunds for unattended sessions.
We will be meeting at Morpeth Common, Edward st Morpeth. We will be seated under trees, in a lovely green space. You will need to bring your own camp chair. You'll also need to wear covered shoes, a hat and bring your preferred bug repellant.
When weather is not co-operative we will aim to find an alternative venue or we may have to meet via Zoom. I would like to avoid rescheduling if possible.
This is a therapeutic support group designed for women to openly share their challenging and painful experiences. It's important for you to feel reasonably confident in your ability to handle hearing difficult stories throughout our sessions.
However, if something you hear does trouble you, I will be available for 30 minute video sessions as as part of the process, where we can address any concerns.
I maintain strict confidentiality regarding the counselling work I undertake and do not disclose any identifying or specific details to my family or friends about the work I do. Similarly, I expect the same level of discretion from you as a member of the group. Whatever is discussed within the group remains within the confines of the group.
As I am a mandatory reporter, it's crucial for you to understand that if you disclose anything suggesting either yourself or someone else may be at risk of significant harm, I am legally required to report it in order to ensure safety. This is an important consideration for you to keep in mind as you participate in our sessions.
The 6 week program cost is $500. This needs to be paid up front. If this poses any particular difficulty please discuss this with me, as I can be flexible, and offer you three-weekly installments, however any week you do not attend, will still need to be paid for.
As part of the group process, each woman will be offered 1 individual 70 minute session which is covered in the fee. The first session will be offered prior to the group starting.
You may encounter perspectives that differ from your own during our sessions - whether it's someone's spiritual, health, or parenting beliefs. It's important to remember that this group is a judgement-free zone. Each woman will be embraced for who she is and where she currently stands in her life journey. Our primary goal is to provide support to those who are struggling. Let's be mindful of not contributing to the burdens they already carry.
Meeting new people and navigating group dynamics can be overwhelming, and sometimes things don't unfold as anticipated. Rest assured, every woman will have the chance to voice any concerns she may have about the group process. Together, we'll explore these concerns and collaborate on establishing guidelines to ensure a supportive and respectful group environment for everyone.
To ensure everyone has sufficient time to share and engage in the group, and to assist with relationship building, the group will only be open to 6 women, and a minimum of 4 women will be required for the group to go ahead.
