Welcome to The Threshold

For women ready to connect, discover and grow.

Starting Monday September 15 and Thursday September 18

The Threshold is an eight-week, therapist-created and led course for midlife women who are ready to stop pushing all their frustrations and disappointments down, ready to stop pretending that their discontent doesn't matter, and stop believing the lie that 'it’s all just too late.'

You’ve hit a point where something has to shift - not in a magical, dramatic, overnight transformation kind of way, I'm not the Fairy Godmother  and you're not Cinderella. Instead this is a gentle, steady return to yourself - your values, your hopes, your dreams.

This course offers supported practical steps to help you:

  • Feel safer in your own skin

  • Understand where some of your patterns came from

  • Begin tending to the parts of you that have long been neglected

  • Build an emotional support kit to hold you in the in-between

It’s not group therapy and it’s not just 'self-help'. It’s something in between - an heart-focused, therapist-guided offering to help you imagine a new way forward.

Who is this for?

This journey is for women who:

  • Carry a dull ache, that sense that life hasn’t felt quite right for a long time

  • Feel stuck in cycles of burnout, resentment, or emotional shutdown

  • Have a sense that childhood trauma or unmet needs might be playing out now in subtle (or not-so-subtle) ways

  • Are craving support and clarity, but aren’t sure where to start

  • Want something deeper than surface-level wellness, but lighter than full-blown therapy

There are 6 spaces available in each group.

NOt everyone is ready for 1:1 therapy - and that's ok. THere is another way...

What to Expect

Private Group Support (Optional)

A private Facebook group will be available throughout the 8 weeks for those who’d like to stay connected, share reflections, or access bonus content between sessions.
This space is softly held — there if you want it, ok if its not your thing.

Live In-Person Sessions (8 Weeks)

We’ll meet once a week for 2 hours in a quiet, welcoming space in Morpeth (it is a shoes off venue). These sessions are carefully held and mindfully paced. Each week includes:

  • Grounding Practice – To help you arrive fully and gently

  • Weekly Theme – A guided exploration into a specific layer of the healing journey

  • Personal Reflection – Exercises, journalling, or creative prompts to support insight

  • Somatic Check-In – Moments of embodied practice to help you stay connected

  • Optional Sharing – Space to speak (or not speak) your truth in a safe, non-judgemental circle

  • Integration – A closing moment and practice to carry with you into the week

This is not a talking-circle or a free-for-all. It’s a guided, intentional experience designed to help you gently untangle, understand, an explore your potential for creating something new.

Week 1: A Soft Place to Land

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Settle in. Create your emotional support kit (resources provided).

We’ll gently ease into the group, name the unspoken rules we carry, and begin building our personalised toolboxes - with items, practices, and rituals that help us feel safer, calmer, and more resourced.

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Understanding inner chatter and learning to unhook.

This week we look at the harsh inner critic, self-doubt, and inherited beliefs.

We'll begin to question who’s really talking when our minds start spiralling.

Week 3: Your Body Has Been Speaking All Along

Week 2: The Noise in Your Head Isn’t the Truth

Week 3: Your Body Has Been Speaking All Along

Drop into the body and begin to listen.

Somatic signals, nervous system patterns, and where we store emotion.

We explore what it means to “feel safe” and why we often don’t.

Week 4: Protectors and Parts

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

Week 3: Your Body Has Been Speaking All Along

Meet the versions of you who’ve kept you safe.

This week is about meeting your inner protectors - the pleaser, the avoider, the overachiever — and beginning to understand their origin stories.

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

Learn to recognise, hold, and honour your limits.

We explore boundary ruptures, people-pleasing, and the grief of starting to say no.

Women often don’t know what’s “too much” until it’s already happened - this week helps change that.

Week 6: The Shape of Your Story

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

Week 5: Boundaries Are Kindness

How the past is quietly shaping the present.

We’ll explore attachment patterns, family dynamics, and the narratives we’ve inherited. Not to rehash trauma - but to understand the unhelpful things we’ve normalised.

Week 7: Practising New Ways of Being

Week 7: Practising New Ways of Being

Week 7: Practising New Ways of Being

Trying on new responses, gently and safely.

This week is about experimenting.

Can I pause before reacting? Can I offer myself care instead of criticism? Can I ask for what I need?

Week 8: Holding What’s Next

Week 7: Practising New Ways of Being

Week 7: Practising New Ways of Being

    Tending to endings and transitions.

We’ll close with ritual, reflection, and a look at how to keep this work alive.

You’ll leave with your emotional support kit, your self-created toolbox, and a clearer sense of where to from here.

Being held and witnessed by a group of women who get you is powerful.
